Ten Commandments engraved in Sapphire stone?

Where is

QUESTION: Is The Ten Commandments engraved in Sapphire stone and what does it signify?

ANSWER: Yes, and the Bible gave us a hint! The Ten Commandments were cut out of God’s throne which is made of sapphire stone.

Notice the following verses:

Exodus 24:9-12 "Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
"And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.
"And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.
"And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them"

Sapphire stone

This is really amazing! Below God’s feet was like a sapphire stone pavement or floor. Prophet Ezekiel reveal that God’s throne is made of sapphire.

  • Ezekiel 1:26 “And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.”
  • Ezekiel 10:1 “Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.”

So, when God said to Moses, "I will give you tables of stone," the only stone stated was the sapphire stone that God stands on and uses on his throne.

Notice also that tablets and writing were the work of God.

  • Exodus 32:16 “And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.”

And what color is sapphire? Blue.

And what is the significance of color blue in the Bible? Obedience.

  • Numbers 15:37-39 " And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue: And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:"

The Israelites were required to wear blue fringe or tassels on the borders of their garments to remember the law of God and do them and prevent themselves from engaging in whoredom or harlotry.

God also gives very specific instructions to Moses about how the priests were to dress. The high priest was to wear a robe with purple, scarlet, blue and gold.

  • Exodus 28:31 “And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.
  • Exodus 28:32-33 And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an habergeon, that it be not rent. (33) And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:”

Interestingly, the Vatican beast of Revelation 17 who is the mother of harlots, who is a persecuting and antichrist church was wearing only three colors of purple, scarlet, and gold.

  • Revelation 17:4 “And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:”

You notice, the color blue was absent because the Catholic church, who is Babylon the Great, intentionally changed the Ten Commandments of God as prophesied.

Finally, even the Jews believed that the Ten Commandments was written on blue sapphire stone.

Moses departed from the heavens with the two tables on which the Ten Commandments were engraved and they were made of a sapphire-like stone.” Legends of the Jews, volume 3 by Louis Ginzberg, page 118-119.

Ancient Jewish scholars state that the sapphire employed for the tables was taken from the throne of Glory.” Ibid, volume 6, page 49.

That’s why every time we look up to bluish heaven, we can see God’s glory and reminded us of His glory which represents His law, so we do them.

  • Psalm 97:6 says "The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory."
  • Psalm 119:142 “Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.”

I hope and pray these answers your question. God bless! :)
